Bereket Tadesse is the founder of Omo Region Tours, established in 2015 with the vision of creating immersive and responsible travel experiences in Ethiopia’s most culturally rich regions.

Born and raised in Jinka—the heart of the Omo Valley—Bereket has always been deeply connected to the traditions, landscapes, and stories of Ethiopia’s southern tribes. Surrounded by cultural diversity from an early age, he developed a lifelong passion for guiding and cultural storytelling.

Inspired by the senior guides in his community, Bereket dreamed of becoming a professional guide. He later moved to Addis Ababa to pursue his education and earned his Tour Guiding certification from Lion Ethiopia Tourism and Hotel College in 2020, followed by a Tour Operation Supervision certificate in 2021.

With over a decade of hands-on experience, Bereket has led travelers across Ethiopia—from the tribal heartlands of the Omo Valley to the Simien Mountains, Danakil Depression, Harar, and beyond. He specializes in crafting tailor-made journeys that go beyond sightseeing, offering travelers authentic, respectful, and meaningful encounters with Ethiopia’s living cultures.
