Excellent journey It was an amazing journey with your company! We booked a 4‑day trip to the Omo tribes. At Jinka Airport, we were met by a guide and a driver. Every day, we had interesting visits to wild tribes. Everything was on time. The Hamer, Nyangatom, Mursi, and Aari tribes are the most unusual people in the world! My wife had her birthday, and the head manager organized an unusual celebration and a surprise that made her very happy. The cake, gifts, music, dancing, and congratulations were simply wonderful!!! We thank the organizer, Bereket, and his team — the guide Abraham and our driver — you are simple the best!!! Wishing you good health and prosperity for your business!!! An amazing trip, thanks to an exceptional guide Our six-night trip to the tribes of the Omo Valley was absolutely superb, exceeding our expectations, and we’d recommend Bereket as your guide without any hesitation. We had stressed to him our priority was not to feel that we were in any way exploiting the villagers, and he more than delivered on this. Each visit felt very balanced and authentic. Bereket stands out from other guides for a number of reasons: he speaks several of the tribal dialects and has excellent local guide contacts where these are required by the tribes. He is well-known everywhere you’ll be visiting – he was greeted with real warmth by the villagers, which is therefore extended to you. His logistics were excellent – there’s some very long days, but he built in breaks, and we always stayed in the best possible place in the area. A shout out too to Yetu his driver – very careful behind the wheel, and very friendly. All-in-all, a great tour – and Bereket can arrange translators for any language too.

An experience we'll never forget The Omo Valley had been on our bucket list for years, and after completing this 8-day tour, I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding trips we've ever taken. What made this journey so memorable wasn't just the incredible tribes we visited, but the people who made it all happen. Our guide, Berekat, was exceptional. He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about sharing the history and culture of the Omo Valley. Every day we learnt something new, and he always took the time to answer our questions and explain the traditions and customs of each community. We never felt rushed, and it was obvious that he has built genuine trust with the local people, which made every visit feel respectful and authentic. A big thank you also goes to our driver, DJ. We spent many hours on some very rough roads, yet we always felt comfortable and safe. He was calm, professional, and always in a good mood. The vehicle was well looked after, and his driving made the long travel days much easier than we expected. The camping experience was another highlight, and Gizaw, our chef, deserves enormous credit. We still can't believe the quality of the meals he prepared in such remote locations. Every meal was fresh, filling and delicious, and somehow he managed to serve food that felt like it came from a proper kitchen rather than a campsite. After long days exploring the Omo Valley, his meals were something we genuinely looked forward to. Without a doubt, our favourite part of the trip was spending the night with the Kwegu community. It felt like a real privilege to stay in such a remote place rather than simply visiting for an hour or two. Watching daily life unfold, spending the evening by the Omo River, and waking up surrounded by nature made the experience feel incredibly genuine. It wasn't about putting on a show for visitors—it felt like we were being welcomed into a community and given the chance to appreciate a completely different way of life. It was peaceful, humbling and something we'll remember for many years. The itinerary itself was excellent. Every day offered something different, from meeting the Mursi, Hamer, Nyangatom, Kara, Dassanech, Arbore, Konso and Dorze communities to exploring beautiful landscapes and finishing with the Lake Chamo boat safari. The balance between cultural experiences, driving and relaxation was just right. A heartfelt thank you to Berekat for all your hard work. Spending the evening there, watching the sunset over the Omo River, sitting around the camp, and waking up surrounded by the sounds of the village made us feel connected to the place in a way that's impossible on a day visit. Splendid insight into tribal life in the Omo valley We got Bereket recommended by another guide and landed on our feet! He really knows the Omo valley and all the different tribes having grown up in one. He speaks quite a number of the languages, is very compassionate and therefore the perfect man to gently introduce tourists to the tribal way of life without it feeling too intrusive. We had the most educational and fascinating time with him. And also a lot of fun with him and his fabulously skilled driver along the way! A highly recommended experience

Unbelievably life enriching Omo valley tour We got Bereket recommended by another guide in Harar we met through the Austrian embassy. And what a fortuitous recommendation that was! We had the most wonderful, educational, thought provoking and also fun days with Bereket and his driver traveling through the Omo valley. He organised a perfect route for us where we got to meet quite a number of tribes but also had time to explore nature and the amazingly varied landscape. Having grown up in the Omo valley, speaking many of the different languages and being a very compassionate yet easy going young man Bereket was perfectly suited to create an atmosphere of understanding and trust wherever we went.
