Alternative Route: This itinerary includes the same highlights and tribal experiences as our standard 6-day expedition but follows the route in reverse, starting in Jinka and ending in Arba Minch. It is ideal for travelers whose domestic flight schedules make this direction more convenient
6-Day Omo Valley Cultural Expedition (Starting from Jinka)
Day 1: Fly to Jinka and visit the Ari village. If arriving on a morning flight, also visit the Mursi tribe in Mago National Park. Overnight in Jinka.
Day 2: Visit the Mursi tribe (if not visited on Day 1), explore a local tribal market (depending on the day), then continue to Turmi to visit the Hamer tribe. Overnight in Turmi.
Day 3: Visit the Nyangatom (Bume) tribe, continue to the Karo village of Korcho, then cross the Omo River to visit the Dassanech tribe before returning to Turmi. Overnight in Turmi.
Day 4: Visit the Arbore tribe and continue to Konso to explore a traditional UNESCO-listed Konso village. Overnight in Konso.
Day 5: Drive to the Dorze village to experience their unique bamboo houses, weaving traditions, and enset culture, then continue to Arba Minch. Overnight in Arba Minch.
Day 6: Enjoy a boat safari on Lake Chamo to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, and abundant birdlife before your flight back to Addis Ababa.

Domestic flights to/from Arba Minch and Jinka are not included in the tour price.
Important Travel Note
There are no commercial flights to or from Jinka on Tuesdays and Saturdays. We recommend planning your itinerary around this to ensure smooth travel connections at the start or end of your tour.
